For more than 50 years, the Fernie Lions Club Demolition Derby has been the Elk Valley’s favorite end-of-summer tradition. What started decades ago as a grassroots local spectacle has grown into our largest annual fundraiser—fueling crucial community projects year-round.

When you attend the Derby, your ticket does real work. Every dollar raised directly supports local Lions Club initiatives, including youth athletics, community clubs, school programs, assistance for local families in times of need and so much more.

Join us for an adrenaline-pumping day of high-octane excitement and see firsthand how a little destruction creates a lot of good!

Gate Admission

  • Adults (18+): $20

  • Seniors: $10

  • Youth / Students (11+): $10

  • Kids (Under 11): FREE

On the Track & Grounds

  • Derby Action: Full-size cars, small cars, and trucks competing for cash prizes and trophies.

  • Live Music: Rocking the stage all day with 7-piece band RoxSlide!

  • Food & Drink: Full concession on site, open alcohol permit, and a 19+ Beer Garden.

  • Family Fun: Kidz Zone featuring bouncy castles and games.

  • 50/50 Draw: Win big while supporting local community organizations.

  • CASH ONLY: Please plan ahead, as there are no onsite ATMs.

  • NO DOGS: For safety reasons, no pets are allowed on the grounds.
